What have you discovered recently?

Posted on Nov 18th, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 18, 2008:

Today I discovered the beauty of snow.  It's beauty is brilliant and intense while hanging from the trees.  But it also warms the earth, as weird as that seems.  I love that when you shovel there is water underneath the snow as if it is preserving both itself and the earth.  It also makes everything much brighter. what beauty.

What was the best news you heard recently?

Posted on Nov 25th, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 25, 2008:

The best news i have heard recently was that Barack Obama was elected president.  My personal belief is that the world, our country, or religions everything needs to change.  We are in a differet time that needs a different worldview.  After all I have experienced lately I was beginning to think that we would have to wait years to see any of that change and now we have a president who seems to get that paridigm shift.

What are you saving?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 16, 2008:

Today it is either my sanity or my families sanity.  I am bouncing between depressed family members helping them cope.  I think sometimes in this world of big dreams and world wide influence we forget to help those we have right at home.

How do you like to be woken up?

Posted on Nov 10th, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 10, 2008:

I like to wake up to a massage wether it is the hands of my wife or the rays of the sun.  Often times that does not get me up quick enough so like most I get woken up by an alarm.  I retake that desire to be calmly woken up by starting my morning with quiong and tai chi.

What's your favorite form of creative expression?

Posted on Nov 24th, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 24, 2008:

I love music, and poetry, and writing but what I do creatively is take others creativity and teach it to others.  I can put music and poetry into a beautiful liturgy or ritual.  I can take others activities and make it into a engaging interactive class.   I also like to create speeches.  Taking words and touching others souls with them.

How do you comfort those who are sad?

Posted on Nov 13th, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 13, 2008:

Be there.  Not overbearingly there, not inivisible in the corner there but being there so that a person knows that they don't have to walk through their sorrow alone.  To many people think they can understand peoples problem and so they give out advice that becomes overbearing to people.  So I would be there for people.

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 11, 2008:

after all that has happened today I would say the most amazing thing is I am alive.  My family for the most part is safe and sound and what amazes me is part of it has to do with people outside my family today.

What's the best thing you've lost?

Posted on Nov 3rd, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 03, 2008:

My job.  I was so busy trying to be a "good minister"  I lost track of who I was and how I could grow.   Know that I have been out of ministry I have taken a month to not read or do anything within christianity.  I have been able to began to be open to what I can learn from Taoism and sufism that has really opened my eyes.  I also realized now how tired I was.  I no longer was able to see what fed my soul.  that is changing and I am glad I lost my job.

How can you create more joy around you?

Posted on Nov 7th, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 07, 2008:

Smile,  to many people walk around a with a dour expression on their faces and that same attitude projecting from them.  A simple smile can clear through that in many cases.  I can also project a calm sense no matter the situation.  Just as if I was in the middle of qioung excercise.

What was the last thing you wondered about?

Posted on Nov 21st, 2008 by Tim : Traveler Tim
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 21, 2008:

I often wonder why in this world most people have such low self esteem?   I meet so many people who have beaten themselves down.  I think alot of times it has to do with a world who judges success by numerical success.  this leads me to wondering what we can do to help people understand their beloved place in the divine? Just wondering
